Mary Shen is a first year graduate student at the Elliott school of International Affairs. She is pursuing her Masters’ degree in International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy Studies. As a Chinese national, she is particularly interested in Asian Security & Development. Previously she studied English at Tongji University in Shanghai before transferring to Vanderbilt University, where she earned her bachelor’s in Political Science. She has worked and researched on a wide range of international issues, such as US-China trade relations, conflict resolution, economic and political development. She is fluent in English and Chinese and is currently learning French.
